Editor's review
This is a web browser.
Maxthon 3 is a tabbed browser built for all users. It does of course provide the basic browsing. But what sets it apart is that it has a bunch of features that add to the browsing experience quite a bit. Maxthon 3 has dual display engines that are powered by Trident and Webkit, as also a fast JavaScript engine that makes the web browsing experience quite fast. Both these enhancements seem to make web page load and display very fast. Maxthon seems to have featured just about everything a user may want from his/her browser. Best part is, these are ready to be used, no setting up, tweaking or tuning needed. However if you still wanted to customize things the browser will let you do that too.
Things that you can change include how it looks, skins, remove icons, and download add-ons, and so on. No other browser is known to let you fiddle with so many things inside it. The two different rendering engines to choose from do not slow down anything. In fact, the browser is quite fast. It is multi-tabbed like most modern browsers are anyway. The browser is designed to consume very little of system resources. Special plug-ins and the add-ins to the IE will make your browsing experience very enjoyable. Some of the other useful features include Drag & Drop, auto scroll, mouse gestures, form auto filling, Ad hunter, plug-ins support, online favorites, external tools, customizable skins, and an auto-hide panel. This is a remarkable product. If you have the need, just go ahead and use it. In fact, give it a try even if you have no compelling need.
